daily tips

PHASE I | PHASE II | PHASE III

PHASE I

Phase I – Day 1

Nothing we ever imagined is beyond our power, only beyond our present self-knowledge. – Theodore Rozak

This is day one. You get to “pig out” today. Get up and weigh in, record your weight and take your hCG. Bulk up on fat more than sugar. It is the fat you need, not the sugar rush. Remember, the more you fatten up today and tomorrow, the easier it will be, hunger-wise, when day three rolls around.

Phase I – Day 2

Thinking about where you’ve been or what you did wrong in the past are not productive in leading an inspired life. Be totally engaged in the now. Enjoy the journey. – Donna Appel

Today is day two. Get up and weigh in, record your weight and take your hCG. Enjoy the last day of your “pig out”! Remember, lay off the sugar — you are aiming for increasing fat consumption, not a sugar spike. AND get ready to begin your 500-calorie-per-day eating tomorrow. Shop, weigh, wrap — get prepared for the next few days. Read your book.

Whatever you do, have fun eating — bulk up on the fat — and get ready for the weight-loss phase to begin tomorrow!

Phase I – Day 3

Keep your dreams alive. Understand to achieve anything requires faith and belief in yourself, vision, hard work, determination, and dedication. Remember all things are possible for those who believe. – Gail Devers

Today is day three. Get up and weigh in, record your weight and take your hCG. AND today is the first day to begin your 500 calorie per day eating. If you didn’t pick your food for the day the night before, do it in the morning. The easiest thing to do is put your daily 500 calories of food into a food bowl that you store in the refrigerator. Then all you need to do is grab and go. The less thinking you do, the better. Concentrate on getting a little exercise. Get outside and take a walk. Smell the roses! Make sure you have read your manual and understand what is about to happen. You are on your way to great health and vitality.

Phase I – Day 4

There is no chance, no destiny, no fate, that can circumvent or hinder or control the firm resolve of a determined soul. – Ella Wheeler Wilcox 1850-1919

Make sure you keep your frig stocked so you never have to scramble for what you will eat. The easiest way to stay on the protocol and lose the appropriate weight effortlessly, is to always be prepared. Be a good scout ….. shop, weigh, wrap and prepare your food bowl for the next day and, do it the night before.

Wake in the morning and don’t think about what you will eat. All you need to do is grab and run. Hint: have a little toaster oven; use it to broil your protein — takes only a minute or two. I always have my meat pre-sliced so when I’m done broiling — I broil on a piece of aluminum foil — I use the same foil to wrap my protein and then wrap that package additionally in a piece of plastic wrap. I grab my prepackaged veggie and my fruit and I’m good to go until dinner time. When I’m at work and I get hungry, my food is precooked and ready to eat at a moments notice.

Phase I – Day 5

The past has no power over you unless you allow it to. Give yourself a gift and live in the present. Each moment has a new beginning that’s just waiting to emerge! — Donna Appel

Keep your HCG routine going. Are you hungry? Are you taking anything to help with appetite control? Many times, in the beginning, the detoxification is major and can yield some unpleasantries. Hang in there, drink plenty of fluids, rest. It will get better.

Tip: If you must have a bite at breakfast, hold off as long as you can without discomfort and then eat a Kavli cracker (plain variety only) and/or some of your apple slices and a bottle of water or cup of tea. Then around 11:00 take an herb appetite control capsule if you have them, with a bottle of water and that should hold you over nicely. Or just drink a cup of tea and a little more apple and get ready for lunch @ noon.

Experiment and do what feels good to your body. The cracker and the fruit are terrific if used for those moments when hunger might creep in. Then again, you may not experience hunger. We are all different. Celebrate those differences and adjust. Just don’t eat anything that isn’t on the protocol. That would be disastrous and would only hurt your effort.

Phase I – Day 6

The difference between the impossible and the possible lies in a person’s determination. — Tommy Lasorda

How are you feeling? Are you noticing anything different? Have you settled into a routine?

Tip: If you eat steak every day, your weight loss will not be as significant. Make sure you switch that protein selection around. Lower calorie protein will allow you to eat a bit more vegetable, from a calorie standpoint. American beef is very high in fat content. If you do eat beef, make sure it is lean, organic grass-fed beef, if possible.

Phase I – Day 7

You are actually cleansing your body, so cleanse your mind too. Make a decision to be willing to change. Make a decision to be kind and caring to your body. Awareness is the first step to healing and changing. — Donna Appel

You have made it a week. Let me know how you are doing and how much weight you have lost. Any issues we need to discuss? Never hesitate to ask. I’m here to support and guide you every step of the way — and remember to weigh and record both body weight and the foods you eat.

Here is a great short story to add to the motivation of this day, to remind you that every situation has a purpose … Carpe diem — aka – Seize the day!

The Obstacle in Our Path
In ancient times, a King had a boulder placed on a roadway. Then he hid himself and watched to see if anyone would remove the huge rock. Some of the King’s’ wealthiest merchants and courtiers came by and simply walked around it. Many loudly blamed the King for not keeping the roads clear, but none did anything about getting the stone out of the way.

Then a peasant came along carrying a load of vegetables. Upon approaching the boulder, the peasant laid down his burden and tried to move the stone to the side of the road. After much pushing and straining, he finally succeeded. After the peasant picked up his load of vegetables, he noticed a purse lying in the road where the boulder had been. The purse contained many gold coins and a note from the King indicating that the gold was for the person who removed the boulder from the roadway.

The peasant learned what many of us never understand! Every obstacle presents an opportunity to improve our condition.

Phase I – Day 8

Our problems cannot be resolved in the same state of consciousness in which we’ve created them. — Einstein

You are into week 2 already. Your body will start changing now. Don’t forget to work on your mind. Changing habits is best begun by being aware. If you accustom to eating in front of the TV, stop doing that. Start being a conscious eater. Start working on changes that will stay with you the rest of your life. Start working on changes that will keep you healthy and lean the rest of your life. You are on your way to great success.

Congrats to you for taking the first steps. Enjoy your day.

Phase I – Day 9

You’ve got to get up every morning with determination if you’re going to go to bed with satisfaction. — George Lorimer

Your determination is starting to show. You should be feeling good now. Toxins should be leaving your body and you should be feeling a bit better if you haven’t in the past. Keep me posted on your progress. I’m anxious to hear how you are feeling.

I feel it imperative to repeat what is written in your manual too. Some clients may begin to slow in their weight-loss number and they need to be clear on what is happening during this process. Refer to your manual for a list of Tips for Plateaus. It is best to be prepared should you reach this stage. Being negative doesn’t help the process and knowledge is power, so read on….

“The weight registered by the scale is determined by two processes not necessarily synchronized. Under the influence of hCG, fat is being extracted from the cells, in which it is stored in the fatty tissue. When these cells are empty and therefore serve no purpose, the body breaks down the cellular structure and absorbs it, but breaking up of useless cells, connective tissue, blood vessels, etc., may lag behind the process of fat-extraction. When this happens the body appears to replace some of the extracted fat with water which is retained for this purpose. As water is heavier than fat the scales may show no loss of weight, although sufficient fat has actually been consumed to make up for the deficit in the 500-Calorie diet. When then such tissue is finally broken down, the water is liberated and there is a sudden flood of urine and a marked loss of weight.

“After the fourth or fifth day of dieting the daily loss of weight begins to decrease to one pound or somewhat less per day, and there is a smaller urinary output. Men often continue to lose regularly at that rate, but women are more irregular in spite of faultless dieting. There may be no drop at all for two or three days and then a sudden loss which reestablishes the normal average. These fluctuations are entirely due to variations in the retention and elimination of water, which are more marked in women than in men.

“A plateau lasts 4–6 days and frequently occurs during the second half of a full course, particularly in patients that have been doing well and whose overall average of nearly a pound per effective injection has been maintained. Those who are losing more than the average all have a plateau sooner or later. A plateau always corrects itself, but many patients who have become accustomed to a regular daily loss get unnecessarily worried and begin to fret. No amount of explanation convinces them that a plateau does not mean that they are no longer responding normally to treatment.

A plateau can also occur a few days before and during a woman’s menstrual period and again during ovulation. As with the above mentioned plateau, it will always correct itself and should not be a reason for concern.

Now get out there and enjoy your day and know that you are worthy of change and commitment to yourself.

Phase I – Day 10

A mantra to repeat…I create a life that is filled with rewards other than food. — Donna Appel

Reminder — stay away from cosmetics, creams and lotions. Most contain oils of some sort. If you can, avoid putting anything on your skin. Face powder or mineral makeup is allowed but give your skin the opportunity to breathe as much as possible. If your skin is overly dry, try using a dry brush. You can purchase them in a health food store. It may seem rough at first, but your body will quickly take to dry brushing within a few attempts and you’ll love the feel when you’re done. It only takes a minute to gently run the brush over all parts of your dry body. You will be amazed at how it will cleanse your body of dry cells and stimulate circulation.

Phase I – Day 11

No man who is occupied in doing a very difficult thing and doing it well, ever loses his self respect. — George Bernard Shaw

Tip: You are probably feeling petty comfortable now. You have the routine down and the weight is coming off at a steady pace. Don’t let go of that. Don’t get lazy. Keep the refrigerator stocked and your food bowl full on a daily basis. If you aren’t losing as quickly as you thought you would and you have been eating beef, try giving it up for a few days and see what happens. Seafood is a lower fat/calorie alternative for our protein portion. Also, if constipation is starting to set in, it is OK to take a fiber cap or two daily or drink a little Smooth Move (Senna) tea.

You may or may not reach a plateau. If you do, be prepared. Here is some helpful information.

Tips for Plateaus —

-Increase water intake a quart or two a day.

-Add a glass or two of green tea to your daily routine.

-Stop eating beef completely.

-Oranges, shrimp and tomatoes can stall some people. Try avoiding these foods and see what happens.

-Check your garlic salt. Many of them have more in their contents than just garlic and salt. This is true of any salt seasoning. Better to have a supply of pure garlic powder and pure sea salt on hand and combining them as you season.

-If you thought you could mix your vegetables — STOP! Only one veggie is permitted per meal.

-Constipated? Try Smooth Move or other Senna type tea.

-Are into your monthly cycle? If you are, don’t fret. Just keep on doing what you are doing. This too will pass and is part of life

-Are you on HRT (hormone replace therapy)? If you are taking it in cream form, it could be contributing to your lack of weight loss. Consult your physician and see if you can stop using the product until you are done with the HCG (Phase I).

-Stop eating breadsticks or crackers.

-Try including 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar to your daily routine. Some individuals have claimed that it helped them get over the slump. You can dilute it with some water and drink it. I used to use it as a cleanse. It is worth a try if you are so inclined.

Phase I – Day 12

Lessons can be learned through awareness. Be aware, open and grateful for the opportunities. — Unknown

Are you getting a little bored with the food? Try this recipe to help spice things up a bit. Remember too, rotate your food choices. Variety is the spice of life and will help get that weight off just a tad bit quicker. Don’t make this or any meal a habit. Experiment with things that are different and new.

Shrimp & Tomatoes — Season cleaned, peeled shrimp with sea salt and red pepper flakes (to your taste). Heat a non-stick pan and add cherry tomatoes (or a large tomato cut into small pieces — whatever your weight allotment is for this meal). Sauté until they just start to break down. Add shrimp and cook until they just start to turn pink (about 2 minutes). Flip shrimp over and cook another 2 minutes. Also works with other fish choices.

Every day is a opportunity to try something new. Enjoy!

Phase I – Day 13

Positive thoughts create positive realities. — Unknown

I am positive that you will succeed. I hope my reality is aligned with yours. If it isn’t, email or call me so we can discuss. That is what I am here for.

And if I am a little tough at times, remember this as I quote Richard Brodie …. “Personal growth occurs when we allow our belief systems to flex and grow with us. When we develop an inflexible mind-set, we stay stuck with what we’ve got.”

Staying stuck is not in my mind set let alone my vocabulary. You hired me to coach you and that is what I will do to help you realize success. It’s not always easy but it is always done with love and commitment to never give up!

Now, remember to make sure your refrigerator is stocked and your food bowl is ready for the next day. Taking care of you last, is not an option! Shop after you have eaten a meal, not before. Give yourself every opportunity for success. Make sure you email me with your weight loss progress every couple of days.

Phase I – Day 14

There are no failures — just experiences and your reactions to them. — Tom Krause

Your positive attitude is starting to show in everything you do, especially in the way you carry your body. You are on a roll and will soon be nearing the half way mark. If you haven’t already, let me know how much weight you have lost.

Hint: Make sure you take a walk to celebrate your successes. Remember, that is the new way of thinking that you are now adopting. This will insure your long term success! Get out in nature and be thankful for all you are and all you have. You are doing an awesome job! Lucky you.

Phase I – Day 15

What you put your attention on grows. Put your attention on the new slimmer, healthy you and celebrate with a smile. — Donna Appel

You are focused on losing weight. You have the tools in place to make that happen. Your goal is getting closer each day. Celebrate.

Hint: Remember that new way of thinking we mentioned yesterday — reinforce that by taking another celebratory walk. Breathe in deep and cleanse your lungs while you’re at it. Then give your cheeks a workout with a great big smile! You’re doing an awesome job and are getting better and better every day, in every way.

Phase I – Day 16

Every day I breathe in the air, focus on my health goals and give thanks. — Donna Appel

Are you keeping a positive attitude? Can you feel the difference on the inside of your body and see the difference on the outside?

Hint: Start to think about changes that you can make in your daily life that will facilitate your new way of feeling. The goal is to maintain this weight loss once you are done using the hCG. That takes planning and mental clarity on what you are trying to accomplish. It takes commitment to being aware of what you are putting into your body and why. Take time to reflect. Realize that candida/yeast are the cause of many of your cravings and it feeds on sugar. Depriving your body of sugar is killing the candida/yeast inside your body. Along with the death of candida/yeast comes the loss of cravings for foods that are detrimental.

Phase I – Day 17

There is always a new and better way to experience life. Forgive and release the past. Move into joy especially now that you are on your way to meeting your weight loss/healthy body goals. — Donna Appel

Hint: Remember to make the scale your friend. It will help to gauge your future eating habits. Also remember to incorporate some sort of physical activity into your daily routine. AND you don’t have to be a slave to the gym. Personally I hate gyms. I’d rather be outside walking, riding a bike, swimming, bowling, playing tennis or baseball or other physical sport. Parking your car in the furthest spot away from the store will help in days when you are strapped for time. Walk briskly to the store to make up the time difference and to facilitate your goal to MOVE!!! Take the stairs instead of the elevator. Take the dog for a walk instead of opening up the back door. Go to the park with your children and/or grandchildren and/or a neighbor’s child or even their pet or take an elder friend for a walk. Be creative. There is a lot that you can do without being a slave to a gym and without it having to cost you a dime. Cold where you live – try speed mall walking. Start your own group and step outside of your comfort zone.

Phase I – Day 18

The point of power is always in the present moment. – Unknown

You have the power and the wisdom to succeed. Keep up the great work. You’re doing an awesome job.

Remember that you are losing fat so quickly that your muscles may be a little weak. Nothing to be concerned about as it is just the fat that has disappeared that was interlaced with muscle tissue. It is being burned up so quickly that your muscle needs time to adjust back to its normal size. When you have lost that third layer of fat, you will be amazed at how much better your muscles respond and work for you. For years, I had a hard time standing up from a squatting position. Now that my fat is gone, not only has my cellulite faded away (an added bonus), but my muscles feel like brand new. I can get right up from a squatting position. WOW!

Phase I – Day 19

Every man is free to rise as far as he’s able or willing but it is only the degree to which he thinks that determines the degree to which he’ll rise. — Ayn Rand

Remember your thoughts create your reality — think healthy, think lean, think thin. It can only help you be healthy, be lean and be thin — that and HCG are a winning combination.

Keep up the great work. You are breezing right through the first phase of the protocol. It will be over before you know it.

Phase I – Day 20

First say to yourself what you would be, and then do what you have to do. — Epictetus

Remember: Purchase organic whenever possible. Buy Australian beef or grass-fed American beef to be assured of the leanest meat possible. The object is to avoid all fat as any fat in the diet will produce negative results. It is best to limit beef consumption to one time per week unless you are losing consistently on a daily basis. Or get the alternative to beef and have veal. You can always bypass the beef altogether and stick with chicken and fish. You have many healthy options. If you do eat beef, be sure to consume it with lower calorie veggies and consume it for lunch and not dinner. You’ll get more bang for you caloric buck (food wise) by doing that.

Phase I – Day 21

Those who say it can’t be done are usually interrupted by others doing it. — Joel A. Barker

If you are doing the very minimum hCG program, today would be the day that you would stop using hCG. Regardless of your delivery of the hCG, your morning dose will be the last dose you take on Phase I. Tomorrow you will continue with the 500 calorie food intake and you’ll continue that the day after tomorrow as well but you won’t be taking anymore hCG on those two days.

Beyond that, you’ll move into Phase II. See my book for further instructions.

If you have decided to continue on with Phase I, continue on as you have been. You’ll be able to stop anytime you want but 44 days are the max (42 of them use hCG in the process). Now is the time to plan your strategy. Make sure your decisions are made with calendar in hand. Contact your weight loss coach if you need guidance.

Phase I – Day 22

Hope is wishing for a thing to come true; faith is believing that it will come true. — Norman V. Peale

Tip: Believe in yourself. You are all-powerful. You have the ability and the determination to see your health and well being transform before your eyes. So cast your self doubt to the wind and have faith that your desires and wishes are all possible. It is just a matter of time. Consult your coach to help you with subconscious thoughts that may be sabotaging your efforts. There are easy fixes to change thought patterns too. Just a little education can reap you abundant rewards toward great health and wellness and a beautiful physique.

Phase I – Day 23

Faith is taking the first step even when you don’t see the whole staircase. — Martin Luther King Jr.

Your determination is starting to show. You should be feeling good now. Toxins should be leaving your body and you should be feeling a bit better if you haven’t in the past. Keep me posted on your progress. I’m anxious to hear how you are feeling.

I feel it imperative to repeat what is written in my book. Some clients may begin to slow in their weight loss number and they need to be clear on what is happening during this process. Refer to your book for a list of Tips for Plateaus. It is best to be prepared should you reach this stage. Being negative doesn’t help the process and knowledge is power so read on…..

Now get out there and enjoy your day and know that you are worthy of change and commitment to yourself.

Phase I – Day 24

A new way of thinking — When I reach for things that I know are not good for me, I step back, take a deep breath and choose differently.

I feel it imperative to repeat what is written in your manual once again to avoid frustration mode. When your weight loss number slows, you really need to be clear on what is happening during this process. This information can be referenced in your manual. The idea is to keep you prepared and ready should a plateau occur. Remember your thoughts create your reality and knowledge is power!

If you are hitting a plateau, email or fax me your food intake sheets and let me review them. Many times I can spot something that is amiss and with a little adjusting, we can get you back on track. Don’t delay sending them though. Every day counts. You want to realize the maximum loss as your days for losing are numbered in Phase I only.

Phase I – Day 25

People are doing the very best they can given their level of awareness. — Deepak Chopra

Tip: If others have been making negative comments, try to ignore them. I know it is hard but it is only in their ignorance that they speak. Teach them. Show them. Prove them incorrect. I was once where you are. Look at where I am now. You can do this. You can rid yourself of the weight and keep it off. Forever! All you need to do is start taking better care of yourself in the future. Start thinking about ways you can do this. Rid your pantry of those killer foods. Start focusing on eating real food; natural proteins, vegetables and fruits. Listen to your body. When day 41 rolls around, you’ll want to be prepared to feed your body the foods that it will crave and desire and it won’t be starch and sugar. Got a sugar craving? Eat some sweet fruit and savor the experience. Save the cheats for when you are out and about. When you are home, treat it as your sanctuary, keeping it pure and simple. You have two sanctuaries now, your physical abode and your physical body. Honor them both.

Phase I – Day 26

Something to say to yourself over and over and mean it…. I am willing to change and to grow. I am creating a safe, new future.

Remember — you can’t change what you don’t acknowledge. Now that the weight is coming off and you are creating a new body, you need to do some soul searching and come to terms with what got you into the situation of weight gain in the first place. Then take that knowledge and put it to work for you. Create a new atmosphere of health and well being in your home and carry it with you always. If you fall, get up and move forward again. Life is a learning experience not a boxing match. Stop beating yourself up for being less than perfect and recognize you are human and change is a process.

Phase I – Day 27

I have a mind that is open to everything and attached to nothing. — Wayne Dyer from 10 Secrets for Success and Inner Peace

Remember — you are making great strides toward a future of good health and vitality. You are nearing the finish line of the first phase of the protocol with only 13 days to go. Start to set your sights on a new way of shopping in the marketplace and eating at restaurants. Your changes are a lifelong commitment to your future of aging and happiness.

Phase I – Day 28

Treat people as if they were what they ought to be and you help them to become what they are capable of being. – Johann Wolfgang von Goeth

Tip: Don’t get discouraged if you aren’t losing the weight like you were in the beginning. There are so many variables that it is difficult to pinpoint why. Your beef could be too fatty, your shampoo and/or conditioner may be the culprit. You may be using makeup that has hidden oils or touching something that you shouldn’t touch. Your fat cells could be retaining water and that will correct itself in due time. There are a lot of changes going on in your body and a lot of cleansing taking place. Just allow the process to continue, keeping a positive attitude and you will end up with positive results as long as you follow the protocol to the letter.

Phase I – Day 29

Thought for the day: Repeat these good feeling mantras. They really can make a difference: I take time for myself each day, to breathe deep, pray, meditate and give thanks. It is good to be alive.

You made the decision to continue using HCG a little while longer. Way to go. You are on your way to a new way of living, looking, feeling and being. I will keep coaching you right through till the end. If you have questions, I’m here for you. If you need encouragement, please look at our Testimonials page. The list keeps growing. Maybe your comments will be the next one on the list.

Keep up the great effort. You’ll be done before you know it.

Phase I – Day 30

Anyone can give up, it’s the easiest thing in the world to do. But to hold it together when everyone else would understand if you fell apart, that’s true strength. — Unknown

You are so awesome. Your dedication to the protocol, to yourself, is showing on the scale and on your waistline. You are accomplishing your goals and setting yourself up for a lifetime of good health, energy and stamina. You are saying no to the old paradigm and making up a new way of being, thinking, feeling and doing. Start preparing for the next phase of your life. Let me know if you have any questions. Let me know how you are doing and what you are experiencing.

Phase I – Day 31

Thinking creates an image. Images control feelings. Feelings cause actions and actions create results. — Bob Proctor

You thought you could and you did. Don’t you feel fantastic? I bet you are looking fantastic, too. Only a few more days to go and Phase I will be over. Get ready for the shift and don’t forget to celebrate the new you! You are new in your thoughts, your feelings and your actions. Way to go!

Getting bored with the food, look at our Phase I recipes. There should be some in there you haven’t tried yet that will help you break up the rigors of daily eating and give you something new to experiment with.

Phase I – Day 32

In life, we cannot choose our start, but it’s possible to choose our finish. — Evander Holyfield

And you are certainly choosing yours. You have set your sights on a goal and will reach that destination through your journey of everyday life. You are setting yourself up for continued success so that the trials of yesterday remain in the past and the success of tomorrow is realized today as you look to the finish line.

Phase I – Day 33

I certainly don’t regret my experiences because without them, I couldn’t imagine who or where I would be today. Life is an amazing gift to those who have overcome great obstacles and attitude is everything. — Sasha Azevedo

Your attitude through this venture has been awesome. Your determination and commitment to change is showing each and every day. You are an amazing gift to humanity with an awesome attitude and you glow brighter with every step you take. Give yourself a thankful hug for seeking out your new found knowledge and new healthy way of living.

Phase I – Day 34

Your time is limited so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of other’s opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary. — Steve Jobs

You made a decision to continue beyond 23 days. You are following your own drive — motivated by what you are experiencing. Make sure you plan out the remaining days on hCG so you are prepared when you are no longer taking it. Consult your coach for assistance.

Phase I – Day 35

Our problems cannot be resolved in the same state of consciousness in which we’ve created them. — Einstein

Start preparing your mindset. You’ll have a new one now. However, you can’t change what you don’t acknowledge. Acknowledge that your eating habits of yesterday where not with the healthy intention that they are today. Keep on that path and if you stray on occasion, it is not the end of the world. The key is to get on that scale each and every morning. The scale is your friend and your monitor for how and what you will eat for the day. If you ever gain more than two pounds on any given day, cut back and eat low cal for the day. And continue eating a little less until those two pounds is history. You’ll find that you have lost that two pounds in a day or two and are back on track.

Your mindset should be to enjoy life and enjoy healthy eating and on the occasion that you indulge in foods that are less than nutritious and good for you in the big scheme of things, ENJOY THEM. Don’t feel guilty. Savor the moment and let it go. No need to beat yourself for something that you enjoy. You’ve lost the weight. When Phase II is over, you can indulge on occasion but for the most part, you eat only nutritious, whole, healthy foods because you feel good when you do. AND, you look fantastic.

But for now don’t lose momentum. You have much to look forward to. Phase I is almost over.

Phase I – Day 36

We can do no great things, only small things, with great love.

You are nearing the end of Phase I. Get ready for Phase II. Start thinking about new ways of cooking and new ways of eating. Continue with your dedication and determination and enjoy this sweet treat — it’s a new way of thinking about dessert!

Take an apple and slice it thinly. Put slices in a plastic bag and add a teaspoon of ground cinnamon and vanilla flavored Stevia sweetener along with a little water. Shake in a bag, then enjoy.

Phase I – Day 37

The road of life twists and turns and no two directions are ever the same. Yet our lessons come from the journey, not the destination. — Don Williams, Jr.

Spice up that drab food you are eating. Doing that, will help you continue on through a full program of 44 days. Visit a voice for change, become a member. There are lots of recipes that you can use for Phase I and Phase II that will keep you satisfied and moving forward.

Phase I – Day 38

We are made wise not by the recollection of our past, but by the responsibility for our future. — George Bernard Shaw

If you haven’t been exercising, now would be a good time to start. Just taking a nice walk for 30 minutes can be stimulating to your mind, body and spirit. Get out there and soak up mother nature. Allow her to hug you and motivate you to continue on the path to great health and wellness.

Phase I – Day 39

Enthusiasm is excitement with inspiration, motivation and a pinch of creativity. — Bo Bennett

Start thinking about hormone balancing if you haven’t done so already. Hormonal imbalances can play havoc with your overall health. There is a lot of bad information out there. Buyer beware. Get educated and ask questions before you begin any program.

Visit the New Medicine Foundation and learn what sets Dr. Pearson apart from most other’s that are practicing bio-identical hormone replacement therapy. Learn why you should probably not be taking estrogen and how to detox the excess out. See the New Medicine Foundation’s “media” page for more information under their “media” tab.

Dr. Pearson has a 3 part series he did on hormones that I highly recommend everyone listen to. Yes, even men need hormone balancing. It is excess estrogen that can make them irritable and experience low libido. Get rid of those excess estrogens and bring their testosterone levels back up to where they should be and they turn into loving, purring, satisfied lions. Leave then to their own demise without balancing, and these cats will continue to roam looking for the solution to feeling unsatisfied. They won’t believe how wonderful the feeling of being balanced can be. It’s life changing for the better; everyone in the family will benefit.

Phase I – Day 40

We live our lives in chains, never knowing we have the key. — The Eagles

Get ready, get set — the end is near. There is light at the end of the tunnel. You are doing an awesome job. Contact your coach if you have questions and remember, once Phase I is completed, you’ll move into Phase II. No more calorie counting in phase II, either. You’ll be letting the scale guide you along the way.

Phase I – Day 41

It is necessary to the happiness of man that he be mentally faithful to himself. — Thomas Paine

You are almost there. One more day of using hCG and you’ll begin to phase slowly into Phase II. Sorry you can’t keep going with the hCG. Remember, you don’t want to build up an immunity and yes, it will happen if you continue on. Follow the instructions in your book and wrap your head around the changes you’ve made already. Give yourself a pat on the back for following through toward better health and vitality. If you need to continue losing, lock in the changes you’ve made to date. You can begin another protocol in a few weeks.

Phase I – Day 42

Escape is easier than change. — Unknown

Today is your last day of using hCG. Are you prepared for what lies ahead of you? Are you getting ready to waltz into Phase II with a sound plan that will support your efforts and not bring you back to acting in old patterns? Get a game plan in place. Re-read my book, investigate ways to make your changes permanent. Sign up for my EFT training program. I will teach you how to change subconscious thoughts. It is quick and easy and once the technique is learned, you’ll be able to go off and practice at your own pace and make other amazing changes in your life, not those just centered around food and eating.

Phase I – Day 43

Success without fulfillment is failure. — Anthony Robbins

Today is literally the first day of the rest of your life and the first day at your new weight without using HCG. You are on your way. Start thinking like the new you that you have designed. You should be feeling really good about your accomplishment. Don’t over do your enthusiasm. You still have another day left where you MUST stick to the 500 calorie diet to the letter. You MUST get the HCG out of your system TOTALLY if you expect the weight to stay off. You didn’t come this far to blow it now so stick to the protocol, to the letter.

Keep me posted if you have any issues and/or questions.

Phase I – Day 44

Don’t cry because it is over. Smile because it happened. — Dr. Seuss

Congratulations on reaching your last day of eating 500 calories a day. You have only a few hours to go till you meet with success! Now comes the commitment to yourself part of the program.

Starting tomorrow, you have 21 more days of restrictions. As Simeons states in his manuscript: “During this period, patients must realize that the so-called carbohydrates, that is sugar, rice, bread, potatoes, pastries, etc, are by far the most dangerous. If no carbohydrates whatsoever are eaten, fats can be indulge in somewhat more liberally and even small quantities of alcohol, such as a glass of wine with meals, does no harm,…” and he goes on to say that “Some patients cannot believe that they can eat fairly normally without regaining weight. They disregard the advice to eat anything they please except sugar and starch and want to play safe.”

Instructions for Tomorrow

Re-read that chapter of my book. It is important. This is the most important part of the entire program if you are going to realize permanent weight loss in terms of reprogramming your hypothalamus.

When in doubt, ask. This is one of the benefits of having a coach. They are your guide. Bottom line, and I can’t stress this enough: let your scale be your guide. Start out slow too. Don’t go crazy. AND REMEMBER, no more weight loss. You want to eat to be comfortable and you want your food to be really healthy — pretty much what you have been eating already but fat is ok now and you can mix things up. NO STARCH OR SUGAR!!! Introduce new food that you haven’t eaten for the past month or so, slowly. Pay attention to the affect that food has on your body, on your system. You may be pleasantly surprised to find out that some foods you have eaten in the past don’t agree with your system.

So enjoy your day — this is the last day of eating 500 calories. Don’t cheat, either. This is a critical time. When you wake in the morning, plan on having breakfast. Maybe a nice omelet filled with spinach would make a great first meal. If you have eaten spinach in the past, just adding eggs to your meal will help you discover any egg sensitivities. This is what I mean by introducing foods slowly. Don’t go crazy adding lots of new ingredients to that omelet. It will make it more difficult to pinpoint sensitivities should symptoms occur. Remember, no toast or potatoes either. Fill up on protein and veggies. Be a scout and BE PREPARED for Phase II.
