The Doctor is In – Gallbladder Gone Now Using Bile Salts?

Posted in The Doctor Is In on 28.02.14

PureZymeQ. Dear Doc, I had a gastric bypass operation in 1999 and my gallbladder was removed. I am now taking “cholacol” bile salts as recommended by my nutritionist. They do help. I am eating a “healthy lifestyle for detoxification diet” similar to hCG. How often should I take them? I feel they help with the frequent occasional burping I experience even if I have not eaten a thing. I’m a 56 year old female, 5’9″, 158 # with a BMI of 24. With thanks, KD, California

Ginger vs. Cancer – Let Food Be Thy Medicine

IDKT (I Didn’t Know That)…

ginger…ginger can assist with killing ovarian cancer cells! That is what I am reading in the latest Natural News newsletter. Apparently, when ginger powder was dissolved in a solution that contained ovarian cancer cultures, it died. It’s also stated that ginger kills ovarian cancer cells without the side affects that have been experienced with common chemo drugs and it’s also good at controlling inflammation which seems to start the cancer process in the first place. This is a big wow. I knew that food is thy medicine intuitively and based on how great I feel when I eat well. Now the scientific research is supporting it.

Let The Sunshine In But Take Your D3

Posted in Vitamin A, C, D, E, Vitamins on 28.08.13

d3Summer is well under way and you probably think you are getting enough sunshine and as a result, are producing enough D3 right? Think again as you may be wrong especially if you are using sunscreen. You might be surprised to know that D3 is not a vitamin as many call it. D3 is actually a hormone that is produced when the sun comes in contact with the skin. The skin is the biggest organ the human body has. As we age, we have less ability to convert UV rays into D3.

Most everyone should be taking 5,000iu’s of D3 a day. Many should even take more until they get their reserves up to par. Get out in the sun and skip the sun screen. The sun doesn’t cause cancer. Toxic sunscreens, poor diet and poor health does.

Minolta DSCAs many of you know, I am a big fan of magnesium. When my legs begin to cramp up in the middle of the night, it is quickly relieved when I take a little magnesium. I try to maintain magnesium levels at all times as it also helps to keep my bowels regular. Other good reasons for maintaining good levels of magnesium include keeping a healthy immune system, maintaining heart rhythm, building strong bones and maintaining proper nerve function. Knowing that magnesium is involved in over 300 biochemical reactions in the body means you are more apt

Estrogens, More Than One Hormone

Posted in Hormones on 27.01.13

I Didn’t Know That (IDKT) …

Estrogen
…there is more than one type of estrogen.
We never seem to hear about them as many clump them into one category. It is important to note that not all estrogen is the same. This is why they need to be broken out and looked at individually and not as a single hormone. Before we start, lets explore some general facts about overall estrogen first:

Estrogen is mainly produced by the ovaries in women, however it is also present in small quantities in men. Some estrogens are produced in much smaller amounts in the liver, adrenal glands, breasts, and fat cells. Estrogen is most commonly known for the creation of female characteristics in the human body such as breasts and

THE BIG 8 HORMONES

hormones1…there are 8 major hormones that should be tested for when having hormone levels test. Here is the low down:

DHEA is a hormone produced by the adrenal glands that your body uses for the production of testosterone and estrogen (and other hormones). DHEA can help prevent osteoporosis, improve adrenal failure issues, improve sexual function in men and women, and can alleviate depression. Although it is sold over the counter as a vitamin or nutritional supplement, it is not a nutrient and is usually manufactured through a synthetic chemical process. DHEA should only be administered by a doctor that understands hormones and hormone balancing.

Estradiol is considered the problematic

TOOLS FOR HCG SUCCESS #3

Posted in HCG on 15.09.12

I Didn’t Know That (IDKT) …

An idea to help make your hCG protocol successful and easy in the kitchen is to make sure you have a food scale indicating ounces for weighing food portions. You can pick these up at department or kitchen supply stores. You need this item to make sure you are consuming the correct amount of food. This is particularly important to make sure you are not going over the 500 calorie allotted intake amount on a daily basis during Phase I. Your food portions need to be weighed and calorie marked if you are going to be successful on this program.

I have forms available that are ready made for recording this information. You’ll have no excuse for not measuring, weighing and being prepared. This is an item that you simply can’t do without. Take a look at how I have my refrigerator arranged – a bowl for my daily food portions as well as a bin in my refrigerator ready to go with food that is weighed and labeled with all the details on a small tag that I place on each item. My freezer is also packaged in the same manner with lots of portioned and labeled meat, poultry and fish.

5 Hints For Success When Doing An HCG Detox / Weight Loss Program

Posted in HCG on 11.09.12

I Didn’t Know That (IDKT) …

It’s so simple to be successful. Use these tips to help.

1. It is helpful to prepare several days worth of varying food choices ahead of time. Have produce and fruit wrapped, calorie labeled and ready to go in a drawer of your refrigerator. Individually wrap and calorie label meat, poultry and fish and keep individual packages ready in your freezer.

2. Purchase organic when possible.

3. Buy Australian beef or grass fed American beef to be assured of the leanest meat possible. The object is to avoid all fat, AS ANY FAT IN THE DIET WILL PRODUCT NEGATIVE RESULTS. It is best to limit beef consumption to one time per week and have it for lunch.

4. You will most likely have to shop two times a week to assure you always have a fresh supply of pre-weighed, pre-wrapped fresh foods available. A list of permitted foods and other valuable information is shown in my new book about weight loss, detoxification and hCG entitled “Coming Full Circle”.

5. Keep a food bowl for your daily portions. If you have enough food wrapped and ready on a daily basis, it will make the process easier.

TOOLS FOR HCG SUCCESS #2

I Didn’t Know That (IDKT) …

Another idea to help make your hCG protocol successful and to keep you motivated and excited, is to make sure you have a tape measure for measuring hips, thighs, arms, etc. on hand and convenient for weekly measuring. I have one that tailors use – cloth – easy to read and wrap around the body. You’ll find these at any store that carries sewing supplies such as needles, thread, pin cushions and the like. I have forms available too that are ready made for recording this information. You’ll have no excuse for not measuring. It really can make all the difference when it comes to being a success at your detox program. You’ll be amazed at how quickly your body measurement figures decrease seemingly before your eyes. You’ll regret not measuring starting on day one.

Also don’t forget to take photographs. This is another great way to keep you focused and motivated. Many times we don’t realize the changes that are taking place but I assure you it is remarkable. You’ll be so wrapped up in the detox/weight loss process, that you won’t notice the changes til your done. In reality, noticing is one of the ways in which you’ll stay motivated. Having this information readily available is just another way for you to be successful when detoxing and taking back control of your health and overall well being.
