From Sick to Stoked – My Story

I suffered from the ravages of excess weight, yoyo dieting and ill health for many years. In 1991 I topped out at an all-time high of 207 pounds. I was always hungry. Food cravings were uncontrollable. In 1997 I suffered from neuropathy (a lack of feeling) and a scary diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis. In 1998 I found a homeopathic physician to work with me. In two months I was symptom free and learned a valuable lesson about environmental toxins and the affects of food and stress on the human body.

In my early 50s, an annual physical showed I was experiencing menopausal symptoms, arthritic pain and excess body fat. I was headed for a diagnosis of diabetes. Research brought me to Caroline Sutherland, best-selling author health expert, where I learned about common food allergies. In less than a week I was pain free, reducing weight and experienced an overall level of well-being. Because of my age and imbalanced hormones, my weight loss had stalled. It was time to research bio identical hormone replacement therapy and hCG for weight loss.

I spent the next five years searching for a doctor that knew what they were doing when it came to balancing hormones. I was spending hundreds of dollars every time I went to a new doctor but I wasn’t getting lasting results. I’d feel better for a short time and then spiral back to where I was.

During the summer of 2010, I met Dr. Edward W. Pearson. I was at my wits end. I’d seen all the doctor’s and even tried to give my homeopath a chance to help me get balanced but everything I did just didn’t work.

Before

After

I was asked on several occasions to come and listen to Dr. Pearson speak but thinking he was like all the other doctors, I kept declining the invitations. I knew about hCG and had lost the weight and had even started my own hCG weight loss practice. I wanted hormone answers and had no desire to listen to anyone try to coax me into buying into their latest weight loss potion or anti-aging clinic.

Dr. Pearson is a teaching doctor, something that is rare in this day and age. By the time I left his hour-long presentation, he had me convinced that maybe I should come back and listen a little more. He never once mentioned hCG although he did talk about a detox. He talked about Vitamin D3 being a hormone that is produced by the skin through interaction with the sun. He spoke about leptin, a hormone that controls hunger. He spoke about being estrogen dominant and that is only something that I heard about through Caroline and the people that she followed.

The following week, I did go back and listen again and this time I asked questions. Turns out that the doctor uses hCG for detoxification and explained that weight loss is a side affect of detoxing. That is something that I referred to in my own practice – hCG was detoxing you on a fat cell level – the very place were toxins are stored. Also turns out that I was right in my research, hCG is NOT a hormone. It is a glyco protein that is stored in every cell of the human body, in men and women alike. He also confirmed that hCG has a short shelf life and really needed to be made fresh every day in order to be affective in the way it was originally intended.

I learned more in two hours of listening to him than I had learned in the six years that I had been hunting and talking to other hormone related practitioners. What he said made sense. Every time I asked a question, trying to trip him up, he came back with the correct answer or at least the answer that I felt was correct based on all the research I did and based on what I had learned from Caroline Sutherland.

I was so impressed, I immediately signed up for his basic program, detoxed for 21 days, losing 20 pounds, had my hormones and adrenals checked, did an extensive blood panel and answered a pretty lengthy questionnaire. Within 3 weeks of starting all of this I was finally feeling better than I had felt in years. Within 2 days, I was sleeping through the night.

I have had my slight ups and downs over the past few months, but every time I have been faced with a challenge, he and Becky, his assistant, have been there guiding me through the process of getting to optimum health. My adrenals are starting to function properly. My border-line blood sugar issues have quieted down, my weight is now cooperating, my circulation has improved dramatically thanks to his recommending ProArgi9. Life is wonderful.

When I was done with Dr. Pearson’s program, I invited Caroline Sutherland to call Dr. Pearson and pick his brain. Before I went out on a limb, I wanted to make sure I had her stamp of approval. Other than Dr. Pearson, she has proven to be the only person that was the most knowledgeable in the area of hormone balancing. She called me later that day to tell me that they spoke and that she was very impressed. She thought I hit gold and I had to agree. Several months later, Caroline made her yearly trek to South Florida and paid Dr. Pearson a visit. He is now the new guru, someone we both have come to respect and admire.

I was so impressed with him and his program, that I signed up to be an advocate for him. I am now a Health Style Counselor for the New Medicine Foundation in addition to continuing on with my business at A Voice For Change. I am a voice for you to hear. I am a voice to educate the masses.

Today at the age of 57, I feel like I am 20. It is only when I look in the mirror that I realize I am not. What a great feeling to wake every morning with such vitality and optimism. What a wonderful thing it is to be able to go to bed at night and get a full night of uninterrupted sleep. I am truly a new person. I hope you will let me share what I have learned so that you can be too.

On a final note, I continue to coach clients through the detox/weight loss protocol utilizing hCG. I feel it is the ultimate substance currently available. However, my focus today goes beyond that approach and branches out to include permanent weight loss and wellness beyond what is available through current medical health care standards. I research and report my findings along with personally testing anything that I recommend. I will bring truth to my clients so that they can make informed decisions about what is right for them when it comes to overall health and nutrition. I will expose any institution or individual that goes against the policy of truth in advertising, that goes against the policy of doing what is right and just vs what is good for the pockets of a few that seem to be in control of America’s purse strings.

I am an advocate for organic food, children’s health and welfare and anything else that promotes wellness and freedom of choice. I am a voice for truth and will teach and expose anything that goes against the grain of a compassionate humanity. There is a lot of misinformation that is being shared and circulated through the media. Some of that misinformation comes from the lack of education but a lot more of it comes from greed.

There are a handful of individuals that make decisions that affect our lives and the lives of those that we love on a daily basis. The days of sitting back with our heads in the sand are over. It is time that we educated ourselves about what is true. It is time that we move forward to a standard that is compassionate, caring, beneficial and loving for all of mankind. The days of Enron and the likes of Bernie Madoff are over.

The days of doing what is in the best interest for all, are just beginning. We can turn our current economic/health care crisis around instantly but it will require that we unite as a civilization and not as a corporation.

First of all I want to say great blog! I had a quick question in which
I’d like to ask if you do not mind. I was curious to know how you center yourself and clear your thoughts before writing.
I have had a tough time clearing my mind in getting my thoughts
out there. I truly do take pleasure in writing
but it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes tend to be wasted just trying to
figure out how to begin. Any recommendations or tips?

    Many thanks!

All I do is write from the heart. I take my head out of it and just speak from what I feel – heart centered. My mind is too analytical. My heart see much clearer in thoughtful and insightful feelings. Good luck to you. Blessings, Donna
