It is now day 4 and I’m writing to update you on my progress. I woke this morning and mixed another glass of the salt water like I did on day two. I drank it down. It was much more tolerable this time. Within about an hour, I was ready for the bathroom. Not much came out although a little did. It was nothing like yesterday. I took a picture because I was shocked at what I saw during yesterday’s evacuation. Yes, I pooped into a strainer. That is the only way I can really examine what is coming out of me. I want to be sure to described this sufficiently so anyone going into this knows what they could be in for.I continue to take the detox caps on a daily basis. I’m taking 3 in the morning and 3 at night although if I do the saltwater drink in the morning, I only take the detox caps at night. The book says I should be having a couple of bowel movements a day although I don’t think there is anything left in me so I’m not sure what I should be seeing. That is one of the reasons that I decided to use a strainer. One of the main things I’m seeing is mucous and that is beneficial to the process as it tells me it is working. Time will tell on how much I will continue to see and if in fact it stops which I’m thinking it should. But then again we have between 30 and 40 feet of intestine running in our bodies so I’m really unsure. I will keep you posted on that point.
The other thing I noticed was that you must be ready to drink when hungry. I can’t go but maybe a half hour being hungry and even that is too long. I just get too too hungry. So the minute you start to feel hunger coming on, you need to consume a glass of lemonade. If you don’t, you’ll be in trouble.
That happened to me yesterday. I was two hours trying to run errands for things I was running out of for the cleanse. I was doing that in the storms that we were having here in South Florida. My 1/2 hour trip turned into two and had me smack dab in the middle of a mega supermarket buying Grade B Maple Syrup! By the time I left the store, I was eating organic ham slices and hitting up McDonald’s for french fries. I didn’t beat myself up. I just resumed where I left off when I got home and learned a valuable lesson. Never run out of anything for the master cleanse, ever!
Be prepared for certain, knowing that you will consume approximately a dozen or so lemons a day and a jar of maple syrup. You could use less but at least with that planning in mind, you won’t run out and get into trouble. Grade B maple syrup is not the easiest thing to find so that is another good reason to be prepared. I just went and purchased four bottles and a big bag of lemons so I’m good for a few days.
This is worth repeating too – I want to put this warning out there to individuals that may be considering doing this cleanse. Anyone that has had an implant or is taking immune-suppressant drugs CANNOT do the Master Cleanse! This is because it stimulates the immune system and inhibits the effectiveness of the drugs. That means that it could actually cause the immune system to attack the transplanted organ. Don’t want that to happen, so I’m sorry for those of you in that situation. This is not the cleanse for you!
On a final note for today, I’ve upped the amount of cayenne pepper I’m using and the sneezing is totally gone. My tongue is still white but yesterday before I went and ate what I shouldn’t have, it was beginning to go back to pink! Also, when I use less maple syrup then the cleanse calls for, I get foot cramps. If I use the full two tablespoons as directed, I don’t. I find the fascinating to say the least.
Tomorrow I will tell you about the lemonade mixture and report more as I go into day 5. BTW, I’m down 3 pounds total!
Bottom’s up! Enjoy your day. Donna

IDKT (I didn’t know that) fluoroquinolone antibiotics were dangerous, in many instances, much more dangerous than the illnesses that they are being dispensed for. I was snooping around on You Tube and was shocked at the number of videos there from people that have been permanently hurt. Had to share this info. It could save your life.
I suffered from the ravages of excess weight, yoyo dieting and ill health for many years. In 1991 I topped out at an all-time high of 207 pounds. I was always hungry. Food cravings were uncontrollable. In 1997 I suffered from neuropathy (a lack of feeling) and a scary diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis. In 1998 I found a homeopathic physician to work with me. In two months I was symptom free and learned a valuable lesson about environmental toxins and the affects of food and stress on the human body.
