Estrogen vs. Progesterone

If you are currently taking estrogen as part of your hormone replacement therapy, read this:

I was recently hosting a Talk with the Doc webinar. We were discussing why an older woman sometimes will start their cycles again once they begin hormone replacement therapy. The answer may surprise you. While many doctors are prescribing estrogen to their patients, most women don’t need any more estrogen, bio-identical or otherwise.  Most are walking around estrogen dominant.

Too much estrogen can be toxic to the body and actually needs to be detoxed out asap.

We don’t need more, we need less estrogen. Progesterone, the hormone that is usually lacking, is what we really need and we can usually add a splash of DHEA to the mix, but giving more estrogen can be severely damaging and is what is giving BHRT a bad rap and can actually be causing disease.

There are many toxins in our environment today that mimic estrogen. Until you adjust your daily living lifestyle, detox the false and/or excess estrogen out of the body and replace what is actually deficient, you won’t be living optimally and may be asking for trouble.
