Pre-protocol cleansing of the liver!

I Didn’t Know That …

thLiver Cleansee cleaner my internal body is prior to doing an hCG protocol, the more successful I would be in the long run. Remember I said that in a previous blog? Well it is true and I’m here to tell you about an organ that is particularly susceptible to being trashed as a result of the toxic overload that it has to handle on an almost daily basis. That organ is the liver. It faces an insult of toxic overload daily which is compounded when it faces an hCG detox protocol.

What you need to know to maintain great health is that the liver is the body’s main organ for detoxification. As toxins are released from cells, they end up floating around our blood stream. Blood is constantly being filtered through the liver to keep it clean and healthy. If you consume nothing but pure unadulterated water and 100% organic foods, then you probably won’t have a problem. If however, you are like most of us, you have not adhered to this way of living and hence, could be putting your liver on overload when you begin an hCG detox program. Really, that is what hCG is, one giant body detoxification with a side effect of weight loss.

I always want to maximize my efforts and have my body in tip top shape when I begin something of this nature. Because of that fact, I decided to do a pre-hCG liver detox protocol, aka a liver cleanse. My liver cleanse of choice was a Gerson Therapy coffee enema. If this is something you want to consider, I highly recommend you get a copy of the book “Healing The Gerson Way”. While its focus is on healing disease, the directions for administering such a procedure begin on page 164. It is packed with pages of valuable information about their findings and beliefs. This book resonated with me and I ended up doing two enemas per day for three days. I felt good doing it.

The other thing you may want to do that is not as involved, is to take milk thistle capsules. Milk thistle has been used for hundreds and hundreds of years to assist the liver, kidneys and gall bladder. Silymarin is a flavonoid found in milk thistle that is thought to have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. It may even help the liver repair itself by growing new cells. I have only heard positive feedback from those that have used milk thistle.

Now remember, I am not a medical doctor and suggest that if you want to use milk thistle, that you get clearance from your health care provider first.
